Easy Saucy Pepper Steak

This is just the recipe you need for this busy time of year!

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound boneless skirt, round or flank steak, cut into strips

1 green bell pepper, cut into strips

1 sliced onion

1 bottle chili sauce (12 ounces)

6 ounces water

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

¼ teaspoon coarsely ground pepper

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.  Add meat strips seasoned with pepper.  Cook while stirring until browned, 5 minutes.  Add pepper and onions and cook for about 3 minutes until veggies start to soften and brown.  Add chili sauce, Worcestershire, and water (equal to ½ bottle of chili sauce).  Simmer 30 minutes.  Serve over steamed rice. 

This picture shows red bell peppers (instead of green) and a mixture of brown and white steamed rice.  We all enjoy this easy dinner!
